Copperplate Relief- Ink on Paper, Cyanotype | 15th April 2022 | 18 x 12 inches | Edition of 7
This print was created from appropriated imagery acquired from Jose G. Cano’s “Aqua Ingravitas” series of photographs of underwater dancers in motion. Experimentation of techniques in cyanotype printing and alternative relief and intaglio methods were explored in the creation process which overall reflects the imageries themes of fluidity in the surreal and unknown.
This work is part of an ongoing series of prints where I take imagery gleaned from my subconscious during dreaming and strive to contexualise and formulate a cohesive artwork that captures the essence of the dream but also speaks to the realities experienced during consciousness.
